If you check the Start the installation monitor (this program) every time Windows starts checkbox, then the installation monitor will start every time you start your computer, and will be available to you as a system tray icon.

If you don't want to run the installation monitor all the time, you can just uncheck this checkbox. This means that every time you want to monitor an application's installation, you will have to start the installation monitor manually.

If the Show warning to stop all applications before monitoring an installation checkbox is checked, then before each installation you want to monitor you will be shown a reminder to stop all applications before monitoring an installation. This is a very important warning, and we recommend you to always leave this checkbox checked.
