View data

The view data window allows you to see binary data. Binary data is information that is not stored in text format - that is, it contains non-printable characters. For example a picture is stored inside your computer as binary data, that is, it is stored as numbers. Most of the files and registry entries installed by a program's setup are stored as binary data.

The View data window shows the binary data as both text and numbers. The numbers are shown in hexadecimal format which is the usual format used for easily examining binary data.

You can press the Hide hex display button to only see the information displayed as text, or you can press the Hide string display to only see the information displayed as hexadecimal numbers.

Press the Close button in order to make the window go away after you have finished examining the data.

It is recommended to always check the backup checkbox described above, because if anything goes wrong after the uninstall, you will be able to undo the uninstall - that is, to restore the backup in order to revert your computer to the state it was before uninstalling.
